In & Out: Dan Croll x Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Arb-Soul, Tourist & More

AD-INOUT-220414

There’s too much music out there to all make it to Track of the Day. Instead we bring you In & Out, an irregular feature dedicated to the great videos and songs we find all over the internet.

In & Out today: Well I hope you all had a brilliant Easter weekend or something like that, here’s some music to celebrate Jesus or whatever; Dan Croll and Ladysmith Black Mambazo; Arb-Soul; Tourist; Arum Rae and Cut Copy.

Dan Croll and Ladysmith Black Mambazo – Hello Baby

While none of us was paying attention, superstar Dan Croll decided he wasn’t content with releasing one of the best albums of the year so far, so he teamed up with the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo. This limited edition record is more than just two snappy songs recorded by respected artists, it’s a powerhouse Summer track. Great team-up, guys.

Ab-Soul – Tree of Life

Whoa now, check this track out. Produced by the one and only Curtiss King, Tree of Life even features a 10-second cameo from Joey Bada$$ on the bridge. Ab-Soul and King have crafted one hell of a catchy track. It’s so infectious, your shoulders will be popping right out of your shirt. Gotta give it to Top Dawg Entertainment, they keep delivering.

Tourist – Patterns (feat. Lianne La Havas)

On the 18th of April, Tourist releases his latest EP Patterns, first featured on Annie Mac’s show on Radio 1. The title track features the vocal talents of Lianne La Havas, the British folk singer best known for her track Lost & Found. The two have crafted a great Summer anthem which screams UK house. The drop is something else and I can’t wait to hear it on dancefloors throughout my European adventures.

Arum Rae - Warranted Queen

The title track off of Arum Rae’s latest EP highlights the performer’s sultry voice with every string and drum beat. Rae hasn’t really broken out yet and that’s a real shame (she used to be known as White Dress) but hopefully this Texan-turned-New Yorker will find more success with this latest offering. With this track she is bound to win more than a few fans over. The track is also downloadable, so Arum can keep you swooning all day long.

Cut Copy - Like Any Other Day

The B-Side of Cut Copy’s In These Arms Of Love/Like Any Other Day 10″ vinyl, which was released for Record Store Day 2014, is just plain glorious. This song is everything you love about Cut Copy. Stop wasting your time and hit play. “It’s The Picture Of You I See In My Mind” my current favorite lyric of 2014.
