Marvel Is Making “Blind Justice” Puns In The New ‘Daredevil’ Trailer

Man, I hate puns. And “justice is blind” is the most obvious one for Marvel‘s Daredevil trailer for the upcoming Netflix series starring Charlie Cox as blind lawyer-come-ninja Matt Murdock. That said, this trailer sure does make the show look great.

The best thing about pretty much every Netflix show is that you get an entire season all in one go, to watch at whatever pace you prefer. If you’re a big Daredevil fan (and that means you’ve managed to wipe the 2003 movie from your memory) you are probably going to sit up and watch all 13 episodes of the Man Without Fear kicking ass in the rain. What’s most intriguing about this show to me is how Marvel has just gone ahead to do its dark avenger stuff, a tone its movies steer clear of, and a tone even the Daredevil comics have stopped using for fear it’s getting a little too old and a little too dour for fans. Then again, the show is inspired by Frank Miller’s seminal work with the character way back when, so it makes sense that like the Batman movies Miller helped inspire, this has that grimdark, action-oriented look. It’s a look that seems to be working for the show.
