Japanese Red Bull Football Freestyle Champ, Kotaro Tokuda, Schools The Brazilians [Video]

I still don’t get the concepts that the Japanese use in their marketing or advertising, but the appeal is definitely there. Nissin Cup Noodle sent Red Bull freestyle football champion Kotaro Tokuda to Brazil ahead of the FIFA World Cup kick-off to show them that Japan means business.

I guess it makes sense that Kotaro Tokuda was dressed up in a samurai suit since it’s an unmistakable symbol for Japan. However, it’s an idea that has been so overplayed as of late – sending superstars in disguise to surprise the public with their crazy skills to which there’s then this big reveal of who they are, and some random brand attaches their identity to it. That being said, I still enjoyed this video for the entertainment value of it. FUCK YEAH FOOTBALL.
