A Very Messy Citymob Sale

For those of you who don’t know, I’m an illustrator who makes weird ‘n wonderful works. My self-described style of Messy Perfection is my approach I’ve taken to creativity – I hate it when things are too perfect as I like to embrace the mistakes. It reminds me that I’m human. Deep shit, right? This coming Thursday (17th of May 2012) Citymob will be featuring my prints, which I will be signing myself with a shiny golden permanent marker. They’re up to 61% off! What a steal! Their write-up of me is very flattering, this is what they had to say:

“Jarryd Kin’s playful prints showcase chaotic creativity that challenges even trained eyes to find truth in the Messy Perfection. This Jo’burg based designer/VJ – & co-founder of Says Who Illustration Studio – specialises in vector illustration inspired by pop-culture, series, comic books & video games. Enjoy the implied imperfections.”

Nothing Is What It Seems

Says Who is an illustration studio based in Jo’burg, South Africa. The team consists of Nicholas Christowitz, Lauren Schultz and Shaun Hill, all of whom have their own stylistic approach to design, bringing very diverse and interesting work to the creative industry. I’m sure you’ve seen their work around - they did the hilarious Chicken Licken billboards with people doing damage to themselves and also the branding for The Good Luck Club in Illovo. Yes? No? Anyway, these cool cats just released a new project they did for Kyknet.

Doktrine has a go at E-Toll

I think we can all agree with what Doktrine has said here! I just moved back to JHB from CT and these road costs are killing me! JHB distances x petrol (going up again on Wednesday, which means over R12-00 for a litre) x E-Toll = Sad, broke-as-fuck pandas. See more of Doktrine’s work here.
